Workflow

From 1-star review
to a Linear issue someone picks up.

The analysis was never the hard part. Getting it into the backlog — with enough evidence that an engineer trusts it — is the part that quietly does not happen.

The gap between insight and backlog

You read the reviews. You know what users hate. Then you have to write ten tickets, each with a title someone will understand in three weeks, a quote for context, and a number that justifies the priority.

So you write two, get pulled into something else, and the other eight live in a doc until they are stale.

With both connectors in the same chat, the ticket writing is the same sentence as the analysis. The quote goes in the description because it was already in the analysis, not because you went back for it.

Connect both, once

Both tools speak MCP, so Claude can call them in the same conversation. Add each as a custom connector under Settings → Connectors, then never think about it again.

ParseMyApp

https://www.parsemyapp.com/mcp

Free, no account, no API key. Fetches App Store and Google Play reviews and analyzes them.

Linear

https://mcp.linear.app/mcp

Official Linear MCP server, read-write. Use https://mcp.linear.app/mcp/readonly if you want Claude to look but never file. Authorizes with OAuth — Claude only ever sees what your own Linear account can.

The workflow

1

Analyze first, file second

"Analyze Notion's Android reviews, then file the top 3 pain points as issues in the Mobile team." Claude runs the whole chain from one message.

2

ParseMyApp supplies the evidence

Up to 500 real reviews per app, and every pain point comes back with a verbatim quote, a root cause, and an approximate frequency — the three things a ticket needs to survive triage.

3

Claude writes issues that read like issues

Ask for the frequency in the title and the quote in the description and you get exactly that. Linear descriptions are markdown, so the formatting from the analysis carries over cleanly.

4

You review the backlog, not the raw reviews

Everything lands in the team you named. Reprioritize, merge duplicates, or throw one away — the expensive part is already done.

Try asking

One message. Claude fetches the reviews through ParseMyApp, does the analysis, and writes the result into Linear without you switching tabs.

"Analyze our app's reviews and file the top 3 pain points as issues in the Mobile team, with the quote in the description and the frequency in the title."

"What are users begging for that we have not built? Create one issue per opportunity, labeled "from-reviews"."

"Look at our competitor's reviews, find what their users complain about that we already do well, and file it as a marketing issue."

"Check the reviews since our last release and create a bug for anything that looks like a regression."

Linear does

  • Create, find, and update issues
  • Projects, milestones, and initiatives
  • Comments and issue relationships
  • Markdown descriptions, natively
  • Resolve any Linear resource by URL

ParseMyApp adds

  • Real reviews from both app stores
  • Root cause behind each complaint
  • Verbatim quotes for the description
  • Frequency to justify the priority
  • Competitor reviews, not just yours

One thing to know

This runs inside a chat you start. It is not a scheduled alert — nothing fires while the window is closed. For a recurring check, put the prompt in your Monday routine, or run it whenever a release ships.

Ship the tickets you meant to write

Add the ParseMyApp connector, keep Linear where it is, and let the chat do the transcription.

Set up the connector

Free. No account needed. Or use the web app instead.
