Privacy Policy

Parse My App is a no-account, no-database service. We collect almost nothing about you. This policy explains exactly what we do and don't collect.

1. What We Collect

Nothing stored on our servers

Parse My App has no user accounts and no database. We do not store your email, name, payment details, analysis history, or preferences on our servers. All of that lives in your browser's localStorage — only you can access it.

What passes through our servers per request

When you run an analysis, the following is sent to our API endpoint and immediately forwarded to Groq for AI processing:

  • The app name and app store ID you searched for
  • Sampled public reviews fetched from the App Store or Google Play (up to 500)
  • Your selected country and store
  • Your AI provider API key, if you provided one in Settings (transmitted over HTTPS only)

We do not log or retain any of this data after the request completes.

Standard server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may retain standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for a limited period for security and debugging. We do not use these for tracking or profiling.

2. Your Browser Storage

The following is stored in your browser's localStorage under our domain:

  • pma_settings — your preferred store, country, device type, AI provider choice, and optionally your API key
  • pma_analyses — analyses you explicitly save

This data never leaves your device (except your Groq key, which is sent over HTTPS when you run an analysis). To delete it, clear your saved analyses from the Saved page or wipe your browser's localStorage for this site.

3. Third Party Services

AI Providers (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic)

We send sampled app reviews and the app name to your selected AI provider (Groq by default, or OpenAI / Anthropic if you supply your own key) to generate analysis. Only publicly available review content is shared. We do not send personal information. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data sent to their API.

App Store APIs

We fetch publicly available reviews from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store using their public APIs. This data is already public and accessible to anyone.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand product usage (e.g. pages viewed, analyses run). These do not identify you personally and are not linked to any account, since there is no login. We do not use advertising networks or ad-tracking pixels.

The only browser storage we use beyond analytics is localStorage (see section 2 above).

5. Data Security

  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Your API key (if provided) is transmitted over HTTPS and never logged
  • Because we store no user data on our servers, there is no database to breach
  • Input validation is applied on all API endpoints to prevent injection attacks

6. Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All your data is under your direct control in your browser.

  • Delete individual saved analyses from the Saved page
  • Clear your API key from Settings at any time
  • Wipe all local data via your browser's "Clear site data" option

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes.
